Using EPIC

Howdy! I am using hplus' EPIC library and found it to be awesome aside of a few issues. 1. I think the function AddSample without velocity is buggy. Initially, my ex(in)trapolated positions were jittering until I specify constant velocity eg 1,1,1. 2. How easy or difficult to change from linear to spline interpolation? 3. Okay I know I need to read the source code, but maybe can someone can tell me quick about this: does velocity need to be absolute value? Currently my app runs the physics 60hz and I calculate the velocity as displacement between network packet sent. So I know sometimes the velocity can be negative in this regard. TIA.
