Hi all, I've scrapped my Qt level editor for the wxWidgets library, and things are going pretty smooth :) However, I've run into the problem of loading models and other 'outside the GLCanvas problems' - no GL functions take effect unless they're inside a GLCanvas render function. My model loading functions build the vertex arrays, etc. I can grab the GLContext from the canvas (I've used it to setup multiple canvases sharing one context) but I don't know how to use it for outside GL calls. Any ideas?

If you're using OpenGL under Windows you can use wglShareLists() which allows you to share I believe all objects between rendering contexts, including texture objects, display lists and I believe VBO's and FBO's. Under GLX you specify another context to share with when you create a new one.
