Component Separation in YUV and RGB

During rendering the files of YUV and RGB i want to separate Y,U,V and R,G,B.Then render it using Direct X separate and Joint combination of colors.How i achieve it?? Is there any RGB 565 uncompresses file available.When i do from RGB 888 then using mathematical shift operation the color of frames dispersed and picture is vague.
