Hi, I need to profile a midlet. I am not very proficient in java so I need to know if there is a way to override the new operator or see who's allocating most of the memory at runtime. I am currently working on eclipse but I made few tries on the netbeans profiler which didn't get me too much info. Thanks

There's no way to override the new operator, but there are lots of open source Java memory profilers out there, and at least some must work for what you want (I assume you are testing the midlets in your development machine). If Netbeans' isn't cutting it for you, google and try a few.

May I suggest JProfiler. It's a fantastic Java profiler I've used many times before.

It does cost, but you can get an evaluation key.
