I know how to make 2D arrays in C++ but I dont know how to make them dynamic. I can only make 1D dynamic arrays with std::vector. How can I make 2D arrays with std::vector?

If you want a 2D array of widthxheight, you just allocate a vector of width*height size, and write a function to correctly calculate the offset based on (x,y).

Or, you can use Boost.

just use a normal std::vector and access using this formula:

index = y*width + x;

where "width" would be the equivalent to a 2D array declared thusly:

int foo[width][height];

My above equation corresponds to how 2D arrays are organized in memory anyway.
