Hi, How to implement pathfinding in 3D Map? The Map is implemented using a 3D Mesh with OCTree implementataion. I want my character to move inside the map using "RTS" style point and click pathfinding. Ive search on the net and all i can get is A* pathfinding and it is used only for terrain maps. If you can just point me to tutorials, books and any other resources.. thanks

That's not true. A* simply requires that the environment be represented as a graph. Unless I'm overlooking something, there should be no problem using A* in the context of a 3-d grid.

That is correct. A* searches through a state space. You can represent 3D locations as potential states just as you can represent 2D locations as potential states.
