Recommended Posts

I want to start programming a game i am okay in C++ and OpenGL. I wanted to know how to split the files e.g player files, enemy files, health files, sound files etc can someone please post a tutorial or point me to one that shows how the files should be arranged and the contents of each file (in DevC++ if possible since i do not know where to place the 3D models).thanks

There is no hard and fast way of doing it; it largely depends on the programmer(s) and the game itself.

You might find Antheus' post in my recent thread partially helpful. If you just keep things tidy then you'll be fine.

By the by, DevC++ is rather old, why not try Visual C++ Express seeing as it's free. [smile]
