How do I change the shadow color in ShadowVolume How do I change the shadow color in ShadowVolume(DirectX Sample Browser November 2007,July 2004)? I want to change the color of shadow to be float4(0.7f,0.7f,0.7f,1.0f). I think the vertex format of shadow is the key point. If I can modify the shadow mesh's vertex format with color. But I do not how to modify it. Could somebody talk how to do that? [Edited by - akira32 on July 2, 2008 7:22:14 PM]

I would know, how to render the shadow after volume's creation (extrusion).

Rendering the shadow volume just sets the stencil buffer. The color of the mesh is irrelevant. Everything but the vertex position and normal is irrelevant.

If you want to simply apply a global shadow color over all 'masked' shadow areas to darken them, just render a full-screen quad with the shadow color over them with Modulate.
