Does PIX support looking at D3DFMT_R32F textures properly somehow? I'm using the June 2008 SDK under Vista x64, and whenever I lookup an R32F texture all it basically shows are values 0.0 and 1.0 (black and white drawings rather than greyscale) Texture lookups are fine when debugging shaders. Debug is set in the DX Control Panel as well as Allow Shader Debugging and Maximum Validation, and I'm compiling against the debug libraries. Am I doing something wrong here? Formski

If I understand you correctly, are you only having problems when viewing the texture in the Render tab of PIX?

I find that if you adjust the contrast bar in the run file, you can see more greyscale. I know that the D3D9 ShadowMap sample included with the SDK uses a D3DFMT_R32F texture for the first few draw calls. If you analyze it under PIX and adjust the contrast, you can see the objects correctly in greyscale.

Hope that helps.
