What constitutes a "beginner" topic?

Recently I've reached the point where I'm considering topics that I'm not sure should be asked on the beginner forums (things such as shaders, non-trivial collision detection, space partitioning, procedural terrain or dungeon generation, etc.) Is there a good general rubric for determining this sort of thing?

If you are unsure, post here. If it's not suitable I (or some other mod) will move it. If you get your stuff moved a lot, consider switching over to post somewhere else.

As long as you don't cross post, don't sweat posting in the wrong forum too much. We'll take care of it.
I see for beginners usually means that either the problem itself is relatively simple, or the problem relates to the language and not the algorithm. There is a grey area of course. But its not a huge deal, the moderators will move a thread if they deem it necessary.
