3D engine recommendation (yes another thread)
Ive been trying to decide which engine should I use for my next game, but its really confusing and Im scarred to spend money on something that will not take me to the end of the game development process
heres what I would like to have in a 3d engine
seamless outdoor to indoor areas
lighting
shader effects
terrain rendering + skyboxes etc..
audio
physics
scripting
and the most important thing : it must be able to read 3d assets created in maya
(including hierarchical animation and texturing)
Im looking into torque3d but Im not so sure about its capabilities of importing 3d assets
another option is the c4 engine but again Im not really sure about it
any feedback on this subject will be appreciated
