[web] Which data to transfer?

Hi! Is there any information about techniques to use in order to keep traffic and latency low? I'm wondering which data a huge MMORPG sends and receives while still running without lags... . I fear to get huge problems with my own project when trying to work with absolute positions which had to be sent as often as possible... . Sincerely yours, FaVorith

Most games use some kind of AI to predict the movement of the other human players. That way you can still update the screen as often as possible while sending less updates from the server to the client.

Of course, when the AI and the data sent from the server disagree, the server is always right.
