Best Image Format for Tile Sheets
I'm creating a 2D game that will be composed of a good amount of tile sheets for everything from animations, items, map tiles, paper doll clothes etc. What is the best image format should I use? I was originally planning on using PNG, but I herd something about DDS being slightly faster because the GPU can load it which means less overhead for the CPU and RAM.

It doesn't really matter. You're hardly going to be taxing the CPU by loading images. Make them in PNG, and convert them to DDS if you want to later, and if the software you're using supports loading it.
