How do I display a (continuously updated) scene rendered by D3D in a DirectShow project? Thanks.

You'd create a source filter which outputs the backbuffer of your rendered scene, and push as much data as the video renderer connected to your filter allows, or if you want to limit the framerate you'd set timestamps on your output samples.

You should probably take a look at the tutorial filters that come with the windows platform SDK and read the documentation to better understand how DirectShow works, it's not that hard really :)

Could you elaborate more? I am relatively new (and quite frustrated) at all this, and I do appreciate the help. I looked at the Ball sample, and think I have all things necessary to create a source filter and have currently stored the backbuffer into a LPDIRECT3DSURFACE9, but I'm not sure where to go from here.
