for C++.. Basically I have been using d3dxfont and its been working well - however, I came across a problem I did not foresee. I have been drawing the font after I drew the the GUI sprites so that the text were on top of the menus (so you can read them). Now when I have 2 overlapping menus, both with text, the text from both are drawn above the 'top' menu. Obviously for the overlapping part I want only the top menu to display its text. So the solution I *think* would be to draw the text via textures, but I am wondering if there are any tutorials/samples I can look at because it seems like it could be a very tedious problem solved by something simple. Thanks in advanced. Edit: to be clear, simply having the menus contain the text is not an option, as some of the text is dynamic, and changes periodically (health, strength, etc).
