Hi, I'm trying first time to use functions supported by Imaging subset . I'm using glew , I compiled and linked my program successfully /with glew32.dll/ in Visual studio 2005, Imaging subset is supported on Nvidia GeForce 8500 . But running each program containing some function from Imaging subset fails with unhandled exception . For example the application failed on the function call glMinmax glMinmax(GL_MINMAX, GL_RGB, GL_FALSE); glEnable(GL_MINMAX); with "Unhandled exception at 0x00000000 in HH.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000. " What am I making wrong ? or why such kind of exception could happen ? I am trying to run the code from this directory : http://i.iinfo.cz/r/photos/opengl_is/opengl_is_9.zip Only I updated the source code by adding #include <string> and #include <GL/glew.h> to the begining . I found GL_ARB_imaging in the list generated by glGetString(GL_EXTENSIONS); so I did not control if it is supported .
I forgot to initialize GLEW ! so using glewInit , the problem really solved.
Thank you very much .
