inside md5mesh, you'll get the data of the model. when i modeled a cube then export it to md5. the mesh count is 1. the vertices are 24 the triangles are 12, weight are 24. BUT when i apply material on the cube(inside 3ds max) the exported file now shows 6 meshes! separated per cube faces. WHY? When I tried to load a feet of a monster.. it is separated in 4 meshes.. 2 meshes have only 4 vertices and the 2 other mesh have 48 and 68.. whats the basis of it? Should you recommend me to dont apply material inside 3ds max 8?? BUT where will i get the texcoord??

does your mesh have a skinning modifier applied to it (with weights), u will need at least one bone as well
theres tutorials (with pictures) on the internet somewhere which explains how to export md5meshs from 3dmax in detail
