To put simply, I'm trying to reduce flickering of my mouse when running my directx apps. SOME of my apps don't incur a flicker of my mouse, but some do. For those that do, I merely put in this poorly written HACK: Cursor.Position = new Point(Cursor.Position.X - 1, Cursor.Position.Y); Cursor.Position = new Point(Cursor.Position.X + 1, Cursor.Position.Y); This is placed near the end of my render function to REDUCE (most likely not eliminate) the flicker. Comments? Maybe someone actually has a real solution for this problem? And everyone already knows about the "don't use the system cursor draw the cursor yourself" solution.

DirectX has support for a hardware drawn cursor based upon the Windows cursor. I'd suggest making use of that, as I believe it is the preferred method.

If you could provide me the link or a google search reference, that'd be great. But it does seem like a "draw the cursor yourself" technique, where it's really easy to do.

I have tried to google it myself but no luck has happened.

This looks VERY promising. Thanks a lot. I'll check it out later. I hope that this also solves a lot of users problems.
