Collada xml and c++
Hy.
I create some c++ classes for opengl(mesh ,polygons,light) ecc..
I would create a c++ parser for that classes.
I see that collada is that i search , but it's a xml and what is the best library to work with xml in c++?
I see also thath there are some collada library for work with collada , but i don't understand how work , they are simil to an API?
in particular what do FCollada and collada dom?
Thanks.
ps I use vs2003 and vs2005 and vc++ 7.0 and 8.0.

Collada DOM and FCollada are two APIs that parse Collada files. In other words, they do the XML parsing for you.
Parsing COLLADA files by yourself is a nightmare, use FCollada or COLLADA_DOM as pointed out.
You MUST get the collada spec for reference though, as it can get really complicated.

I don't really know exactly, I hear FCollada does a lot more automation than the COLLADA_DOM, but in the other hand the COLLADA_DOM allows for greater control.
