basically, what i want to ask you all is that how do you implement that kind of idea...for example i drag a square and when i place it to a drawing stage at a separate stage code is generated...for example the Flex Builder, it has a GUI editor(is that what you call it?) when you place a panel code for panel making will be generated and when you put another panel INSIDE the previous panel code is generated INSIDE the code of the previous panel, that is what i want to implement...if guys can answer that or maybe lead me to a tutorial(or code sample) that would be great!!! thanks

Checkout FLTK, it comes with such an editor called FLUID. I've been using it for my projects, it's great! lightweight and easy to intergreate into any project.

There may be tutorials for a certain GUI builder for a certain GUI toolkit. It isn’t clear exactly what you are looking for (you don’t specifically mention what you need to work with), and furthermore, it’s not clear why you are asking for our help (it’s not like Google is offline). Until you expand on your post, we cannot help you, by virtue of not understanding you.

i already used google and all i get are products of gui builder (almost all are for java)

i just need to know how to implement such a gui builder like feature where in you put, for example a panel, then when you drag another panel inside the previous panel it knows that the code generated by the new panel will fall inside the block of the old panel...as for language c++,c,flex(actionscript),java are all fine

Oh, you want to make your own GUI builder? Obviously, picking a GUI toolkit would be a very important first step. Aside from that, the whole challenge falls under the craft of programming and computer science, right? There is no set way to program. So asking us how to implement one defeats the purpose of you making it yourself.

If you’re really interested but have no idea where to start, looking at existing open source GUI builders is a smart idea. ddn3 mentioned FLUID. You could look at the code for that and see how they decided to implement it. That might give you some ideas.
