3-D modeling app. It was a few hundred bucks. http://www.caligari.com/ Now they're just giving it away. I'd like to try it but I seem to be having trouble registering. I can't tell if it's just me or if their website is down. Maybe I'll check again tomorrow. I'm not nearly hard-core enough to shell-out for Maya or Max, though I've used both and think they're great. Maybe this will be okay. Has anyone else tried this?

It is indeed exciting: but it is now kinda old news

Just thought I'd point that out, nothing againist you ;) Persoanlly for me, it looks nice a pieace of software. But I wouldn't have any use for it, myself not going to tocuh the 3D side of game development for a few more years.

I remember using TrueSpace 3 a long time ago. It's the only modeling tool I've really gotten into, and it was quite nice. If you are searching free tools, you could check XSI Mod Tool out

I got around the registration problems by using https://cart1.caligari.com/web/trueSpaceREg.aspx.

How embarrassing! I only heard about it today. :)
Thanks for the heads up Kelly.
I didn't have any trouble getting a hold of it but I already had a log in as a TS5 owner. I almost bought 7 a few months ago but went for a Carrara Pro deal for like 125$(which I really like) so I'm glad that I didn't shell out cash for it.

They have changed stuff so much I have no clue how to use it now. Its almost nothing like my older versions. I don't know if I will take the time to learn it or not but I sure don't mind having something for free. I will at least look over the training vids sometime soon.

I do wonder what the angle is. You don't switch gears that drastically without a reason.
