Keeping things in the Correct Directoris

It is my understanding that the following directoeris should be used ...\app install dir -Static files that do not normaly change (eg the exe, any dlls, data files, etc) ...\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\my app -configuration files etc that are user percific ...\Documents and Settings\user name\My Documents\my app -save games, screenshots, etc 1)Are these the correct directories for Windows 2000, XP and Vista? 2)How can I get the complete paths to app data and my docs? I know theres enviromentatl varilbes to get Documents and Settings but I heard that my docs may not be located in that directory anyways, and that in some cases the %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% may provide an incorrect path as well...
