I was playing with Getright and I noticed that it has some cool skins that give the appearance of round and polygon shaped windows. I figured out how it''s done, and I''ve been trying to make a transparent window in the same fasion, but I can''t get the transparent area to repaint itself to the image underneith the window. If I manually clear the desktop, it repaints, but how can I do this programatically? Thanks in advance, Joe T. When life hands you lemons, throw them at God''s head.

I think you might be using the wrong method.

Use CreateRoundRectRgn, SetWindowRgn, etc - these aren''t glitchy.

Okay, but you can''t use a mask with SetWindowRgn right?
Hypothetically, let''s say I want my window to be a slice of swiss cheese (holes)...I can get the background to show through.
It sort of works when I use RedrawWindow() with RDW_ERASE and RDW_INVALIDATE flags...I''ll play with it some more.
Thank you for the reply.
