Can I use OpenAl without installing it?
I use openAL in my program, but when distributing it,I must install openAl in the computer first , can I skip this step ?
What does it do when installing ? Can I do something to replace this step?
I tried and found that , in some computers it works , others not.It is something to do with the sound card driver.
Assuming you're dynamically linking Open AL (which you should be doing anyway), all you need to do is include the Open AL dll (OpenAL32.dll) with your application (in the same directory).
As for the sound not working on other people's computers, try using specific devices ('DirectSound3D', 'DirectSound' and 'MMSYSTEM' for instance), working your way down the list, then try using the default device ('0'). If you still can't get the sound working after that, then the problem's basically out of your hands.
