Hi, I am using C++ and on Windows XP. I am new to Visual Studio 2008 having previously used Visual Studio 2003. How do you setup the project to use native / unmanaged code. Thanks

Start a new project. Select Win32 for unmanaged projects (either Console for text based apps or just plain Win32 for graphical apps). Further, in the Win32 Application Wizard I suggest you select "Empty Project" under "Application Settings" unless you want and know how to use precompiled headers. Lastly, remember that by default Win32 projects are UNICODE based so either remember to make your strings all 'wide', or change the project settings to 'multi-byte'. Look around online for how to do that if you can't find it yourself.
