draw texture on screen

I want to draw a texture on screen. I can do it with a rectangle mapped with texture, but is there any built-in helper object like billbord or sprite which I can use so that I dont have to take care of scaling and rotations? using Dx 9c, VC++ 2005

If you want the quad to fill out the entire screen, you don't need to care about rotation and position.

Create a quad that ranges from [1, -1] to [-1, 1] (Upper left and lower right corners) and then render that quad with the projection, view and world matrices set to an identity matrix. This way the quad will always be renderer "in front" of the screen.
