Max SDK = Generating Navmesh

Hello guys, I'd want to use the max sdk (v7) to subdivide a navmesh. However I run into a problem that I can't create a vertice on the ground mesh polygon edge(cutting the original polygon into N-sided convex polygons). I am after how to calcuate this vertice and how to do a clean cut edge to edge as well. Does anyone have any examples that does that? I've looked thru the help, google etc.... to no avail.I reckon I have to concentrate on entities like MNEdge, MNMesh and MNVert... ps: how to merge them also Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Jack
