I need to detect the graphics and audio cards models on the user pc. For some reason, i can't use DirectX, OpenGL nor OpenAL, so I am stuck with native c++ code and windows APIs. I tried to read the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI) but I discovered that it includes all old and new cards (i.e. it includes entries for cards that has been replaced).
