loading FX files in application

I have written a simple shader in a FX file. Also tested it with rendermonkey. Now how do I load and use this shader in my DX9 VC++ code? I need the shader to be available even if the FX file is not in the same directory as EXE file. Please suggest...

Use D3DXCreateEffectFromFile() or D3DXCreateEffectFromFileEx() and specify the full file path.

Alternatively include the file as a resource and use D3DXCreateEffectFromResource() or D3DXCreateEffectFromResourceEx() and you will not have to worry about a file location/path.
