Hi, Well... i have this Toshiba U300 laptop and has you can see, it has a Intel GMA X3100 video card in it. Today i was trying the samples from the Beginning DirectX 10 Game Programming and all the examples didn't run at all. It kept giving the same error: "A DX10 Compliant Video Card is Required." After i search around the internet, i found HERE (look at the table at the center of the page) that this card can support D3D10. Anyone can give me a little help? :) Thank You

I don't follow the X3100, but perhaps though the hardware might support it, perhaps the driver doesn't? That would be a logical explanation for your issue (that or Intel is lying about the D3D10 support).

I'm sure you know but we should ask anyways: What operating system are you using? DirectX 10 is Windows Vista only (no Windows XP support).

Does any other DX10 software run on your laptop?

[edit] wikipedia also says you need new drivers for the card to get dx10 support. So make sure you have the newest ones (try and get them straight from intel, not from whoever made your laptop as they can sometimes be slow on distributing new drivers).
