Hey guys...i just started game programming a few weeks ago and i have made a few simple things like pong, tetris etc. I am somewhat comfortable with the allegro library. Now, I have a data structures course this semester and I am expected to make a game which makes extensive use of data structures. Any ideas...the game should basically show proficiency in Data structure. for example, I dont think tetris really made so much use of data structures. I need some ideas...thnx

Perhaps something with a game map, such as pacman would introduce some more complicated data structures.

or the ultimate, include a backend database, you'll have data structures coming out of your ears.

You could also introduce different methods of storing data as well, find a practical use for a linklist for example, or a hash table. Having a hi-score storage system would demonstrate some interesting concepts.
