Crysis Warhead's Reworked Global Ambient System?

I was wondering if any of you guys has any technical info regarding Crysis Warhead's new global ambient term? I suspect it's a reworked SSAO or some similar screen-space effect but have no other clue besides that, especially considering the fact that I was unable to come by any screenshots that actually compare this new global ambient lighting system with SSAO. Many thanks.
