camera ?

i''ve read sum articles about isometric map, and they mentioned camera X Y etc.one of em describe e camera view as what is visible on screen at the given time..but i dun reali understand. where is the camera 0 0 coordinate ? how does it go along with the maps x y coordinate ? thanks

The camera is just what''s visible on screen. You don''t need to actually define a camera, (but you can). Whatever part of map you draw during a frame is the camera''s position. Some games might draw objects and stuff based on the character''s position, but other games keep track of the camera seperately. The x,y coord of the camera works just like the position of a character or object in the game. The camera''s 0,0 coordinate would be the upper-left corner of your map (or the top corner of your isometric map, however you do it). Not that hard to understand.
