Limit on Textures?

Is there a limit on the amount of textures you can draw to screen using DirectX? I am trying to draw a total of 61 sprites to the screen, when trying to draw 50 it is fine, anymore and it is just drawing a blank screen.

I know of no reason as to why you couldn't use 61 unique textures in a single frame. How are you drawing these sprites? Do the Debug Runtimes give you any useful information?

I am using the LPD3DXSPRITE class to draw them

e.g.


LPD3DXSPRITE sprite;

sprite->Draw( texture, &rect, NULL, vector, D3DCOLOR_XRGB( 255, 255, 255 ) );
