IDirectSoundCapture and Page Faults

Hi all, I am trying to figure out why whenever I create the direct sound capture object I always have a page fault delta of 2. This doesn't even go away when I release the object. Any ideas? I've posted some code below as to how I'm creating it. Thanks!
   IDirectSoundCapture *pDSCaptureObj = NULL;

   // create DS capture object
   HRESULT hr = DirectSoundCaptureCreate(&CaptureDeviceInfo.DevGuid, &pDSCaptureObj, NULL);
   if (FAILED (hr))
       // Error

   // Right here is when the page faults start happening
   // Release the capture object
   pDSCaptureObj = NULL;
