inverting colours?

Hi all, is there any blending mode or way to make a transparent polygon invert its colours depending on what else is in the scene (eg a white poly behind a white poly will be black) You know like the XOR effect on some mouse cursors etc Ta Cel

logical operations are allowed in opengl eg XOR use glLogicOp(..) they r usually slow though.
for blending
one_minus_dst_color, one_minus_src_color
should make a white + white turn black

And to think that I would have just used

glColor3f(1.0-r,1.0-g,1.0-b);
