Animation and collision detection tutorials (DX)

Where can i find some good tutorials about animating meshes and checking collisions? The sdk really sucks in this! thanks.

for collisions, all you need is the D3DXIntersect function

for animation, goto msdn.microsoft.com/directx

For collisions, if you want to use ellipsoids for your characters instead of the actual geometry (which is very slow), read this tutorial: http://www.peroxide.dk/tutorials/tut10/pxdtut10.html. I haven''t ever made a 3D engine, so I can''t try it out, but it sounds like a great way to do it.
Sorry, but I don''t know of any for animation.
