Hi folks! I did a pvs and bsp compiler but it is too lame. It works like the following: 1. build the bsp 2. build the portals 3. calculate pvs the problem is the 3rd point. For a simple hollow cube I need about one minute to compile. The half-life vising tool does this in 2 secons (a small difference =)). The pvs works like this: First you choose the leaf (it is a leaf bsp, i forgot to mention) for which the pvs should be calculated. then you go through every of the leafs portals and look in which leafs they can look. then you choose the new leafs portals and calculate if they can be seen by the initial portal. so it is a recursive function. But it is sooo sloowwww. i got a tip. first i should build each portals pvs. i did but it is still too lame. does anyone know a good tutorial, source code (perhaps of vising tools) or any other help that might help? I would be VERY THANKFUL! Nitro
