Modulate diffuse alpha with texture alpha?

Hi! I'm working on Direct3D 8 and I'm wondering if anyone knows the combination of Texture ColorOp, ColorArgs, AlphaOp and AlphaArgs to modulate the diffuse's alpha with the texture's alpha? I'm trying to use a texture to simulate a leaf, so I use the CreateTextureFromFileEx function and specify a color key. However, I can't seem to get the correct texture op configurations to make the texture fade by changing the diffuse alpha of that polygon. I've tried many combinations and the texture just won't be affected. Any help? Or am I setting something wrong somewhere else? I don't think going into the texture and modifying the alpha values there is the only way... (could be wrong) Edited by - Someone Else on June 9, 2001 10:36:00 AM
