DirectX textures

Here''s an easy one. How do I create a texture in DX8 without using D3DXCreateTextureFromFile or something like that? I want to load quake 3 lightmaps that are saved as byte[128][128][3]. Thanks... (Sometimes I miss OpenGL where I actually knew how to do this stuff... )

Well, I can''t help you on the technicals, but I might suggest locking the surface (I hope you can do this in DX8), getting the surface''s bitmap array, and just use a few FOR-loops to transfer the data.

BTW, if you''re gonna do this, you can''t use any fancy texture formats.
