2D in D3D8

Hi How do you setup the matrices in D3D8 to give you a 2D ''grid'' ? I''m sort of looking for an equivilent of what gluOrtho2D does in opengl. I''ve tried using D3DXMatrixOrthoLH on the projection matrix but it doesn''t appear to work (i can''t see anything . thanks all rath

We might be able to help better if you showed us what you had for your D3DXMatrixOrthoLH call.
