Hey, I'm currently working out of 'XNA Game Studio Creators Guide' book and when I try to open projects used throughout the book I get the error 'Project type not supported by installation'. Does anyone know why this is??? Any help would be much appreciated!

There is only two reasons i can think of one the projects were done for a differnt platform witch is most likly not the case and two the projects don't match your compiler type.

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

I think if you were being abit more specific is the compiler giveing you the error witch is what i am guessing or is it something else.

Silly question, but you've installed C# and XNA, right? The only other reason I can think of, is that it uses an older version of XNA.
Yes, you must use the same version of XNA that the book uses. Or you could just import the files/content into a new XNA project, but there were some changes in the API from 1.x to 2.0. Easy to fix though
my blog contains ramblings and what I am up to programming wise.
