Hi, Im looking for a good binary image edge smoothing algorithm. Anybody know of one, when I google all I seem to get are papers that I have to pay for, while Im really just looking for something simple. -CProgrammer

You might try looking at the sorts of methods employed for sprite enlargement by emulators, there's a decent summary of them on Wikipedia here.

Thanks for the link.
It seems though that this may not be suited for binary images. Also ive thought of going the path of line detection but this seems awfully overkill I really just want some basic smoothing. But I guess perhaps there really isnt any other way. You guys think a hough transform and then patching missing pixels would work?

What is binary image? 2 colors? If anything duotone images are perfect for this type of processing.

The algorithm presented is for smoothing raster images.
