It would be nice if I could use 32-bit indices for my landscape engine, since there are more than 65536 vertices sharing the same texture and render properties... but I have to break it up so I can use 16-bit indices. Direct3D8 allows 32-bit indices, but obviously they only work with 3D cards that support them. Which ones do? Should I just ignore this feature until it''s more commonly supported? ~CGameProgrammer( );

A poll was made on this sometime before. None had 32-bit indices. Maybe te GeForce3 will, I don''t know. So you better batch your rendering calls.
