Change HUE in Dx8?

like the title, is possible change hue value from a texture in dx8? edit: sorry, wrong forum, this must be on DirectX's forum

For the whole texture, you could do it with a pixel shader without any problems. Otherwise you'll need to do it by locking the texture, reading the value and changing it.

In either case you'll need to convert from RGB -> HSV (I think that's the correct term) then back again.
