How do I decide what to draw? :-)

Hi again! Supposing I make a simple engine to display tiles, the view can be rotated, zoomed etc...How do I decide what needs drawing to the screen? Cus different things will need drawing depending on rotation etc, wont they? Do I load the entire map/level at the start and then just move around it with the camera? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks! Adam

Yes, load the entire map/level at the start and then just move around it with the camera. It will probably be fast enough but if you are using models with many polygons do you perhaps need to adjust the level of detail depending on the view distance.
