Heya guys! Some of you might know me from past times at GDnet. Anyway, I wanted to announce my iPhone game Asterope. Here's part of the press release I wrote:

Asterope is an independently developed, unique and addictive game experience
with an intuitive control scheme for the iPhone(TM) 3G, the original iPhone,
and iPod(R) Touch. The game is story driven, your mission is to stop the
Androids' invasion of Earth.

The game gives the player a unique gameplay experience by using the touch screen
to control the players' spaceship. Asterope contains 10 levels where you unfold
the story of how the Androids are coming to invade earth. Asterope also includes
three arcade mode levels for quick gaming sessions.

Developed originally intended as an entry for the Google Android Challenge,
Asterope was not among the Top 50 that were rewarded but it was among the top
quarter. Google did not supply the entrance with further feedback after the
challenge. The game is now further developed and improved for the iPhone™ 3G,
the original iPhone, and iPod(R) Touch.

And some screenshots: GDnet's SHilbert did some amazing art for the game and Andrew Russell did some an awesome background tune. For you with iPhones or iPod Touches: Link to iTunes page Please comment the game if you give it a try. Also, I've written an article about the development of the game that should appear on GDnet in the coming future. Enjoy the game if you get it!

Wow, looks like a fun game!

Unfortunately I can't open the iTunes link from my iPhone. It says: Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid
Any idea what the reason could be?

The iTunes link only works on a mac or pc unfortunately. So you need to search for Asterope in the appstore (or get it on your pc/mac and sync your iPhone)

Ah, I see. I'll try to track it down that way then.
