Hi! How can I find out how many user defined clip planes (wich can be created with SetClipPlane) my graphics card supports? Thanks, Loncs

1. Open SDK documentation
2. Go to the D3DCAPS9 structure
3. Search for "clip"
4. Note first result is DWORD MaxUserClipPlanes; [smile]

Be carefull with those clipplanes. Some nVidia graphics cards haven´t implemented them properly. I recently tried to use clip planes with my GeForce 9800 GX2 card but it never worked. I used oblique frustum clipping instead, which gave me more efficient frustum culling as a bonus.
