Hi all, I have a problem getting the debug output from directX dlls. And I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I started up DX Control Panel, added my app to the scope list, and put debug layer to "force on". I'm linking against debug versions of directX dll ( validated showing the loaded modules ). If I understand the doc correctly, this should spam debug out with all available erros, messages and infos, right? But I don't get a single message. I also played around with ID3D10InfoQueue: I tried a simple user message: pInfoQueueRaw->AddApplicationMessage( D3D10_MESSAGE_SEVERITY_INFO, "Hello World." ) and it worked! However not a single message from the DX dlls is written. Does somebody have hint for me? Thanks in advance Jochen

I don't think any debug info is produced by D3D if you don't pass the D3D10_CREATE_DEVICE_DEBUG flag to D3D10CreateDevice. Are you passing this flag on device creation?

hi, sirob, thanks for the reply.

I forgot to add the info, that I passed that flag. I even could get the output from my user message.

But anyway, I got it fixed. I don't really know how, because I changed the same things over and over again and nothing changed. But finally a desperate reboot solved it.

Thanks for taking care.
Jochen
