hi, im new in learning game programming...

ok... first of all, i was planning to use Linux fedora core 9.. my CPU is dual core 1.8Ghz 1g DDR2 memory 512mb 8500 Nvidia graphics card... will linux fedora 9 run at best to my CPU? if it will run... does linux have the following software available to the operating system.. audacity gimp2 milkshape3d quark showtoolpro uesampleproject ultraedit-32 uvmapper... or anyway to install the software to linux fedora 9? im reading the book 3D game programming all in one... with the torque scripting language... hope you guys can help me here... im newbie here... thnx HAVE A NICE DAY TO ALL..... :)

Fedora should run fine on your machine.

As far as whether or not all of those apps are available for Linux, why don't you go to each of their websites and see if they have a Linux version? Did you want somebody here to do that for you?

It will run, I'm sure. No idea how well, but it's probably going to be usable.

Some of these are Windows-only tools, and will not work on Linux. You'll have to find equivalents.
